EvilQuest 2 Update

To celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the release of EvilQuest, we’re giving fans a look at some never-before-seen screenshots from EvilQuest 2.

Chaosoft Games would like to assure fans that we are working hard on bringing you a sequel that surpasses the first game in every possible way. It’s been a crazy year for us between release of EvilQuest on Xbox and PC, update patches, interviews, media relations, entering Dream-Build-Play, being in the Indie Royale bundle, trying to get on Steam, and interacting with fans – not to mention our day-to-day lives. But we’re thrilled with the fan reaction and success of EvilQuest and we wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Through it all we’ve been plugging away at EvilQuest 2, and while production is taking longer than the first game, the quality of everything about EvilQuest 2 is significantly higher. We still can’t confirm anything about a release date other than “2013,” but we are redoubling our efforts to deliver a follow-up to EvilQuest that we hope will shatter all expectations.

Thanks to everyone who helped make the first year of EvilQuest a success!

Cant wait!!! is the game gonna be any longer than the first one because i can now beat the first one in like an hour of gameplay. i would love to see a zelda type game that takes a long time to beat

Nice job. It looks Galvis will be playable again in this sequel. Imagine if there would be a patch add and it became multiplayer in Evil Quest II.

  5. I cannot wait for this!! Looks so great XD

Can hardly wait.. Galvis looks much better in the sequel. Hope you add a lot of customization or side quests, or something extra to keep us busy besides the main quests. It gets boring having a linear path but giving us options to explore or look around is nice.. I always talked to the townsfolk in the first because Galvis tended to say funny stuff. Hope that’s in the 2nd.

Guys, you have a fan in me. I played EQ a year ago, and I must say, it transported me back to the early and mid ’90s, when games brimmed in fun. Thanks for delivering the goods. By the looks of the photos here about EQ2, I’m left saying: I can’t wait for it. Keep up the spectacular work and effort. They’re worth it to the people who know a (darn) good game when they see one. Carry on, mis amigos!

Okay, I just beat Evil Quest, having bought it a week or so ago and I must admit, it’s a breath of fresh air, the retro style game was legitimately fun and to boot you got to destroy the world.
But that’s what’s bugging me about the sequel, how can you have a sequel when you DID destroy the world? It’s not exactly a secret that this is your goal in the first game considering it’s in the trailers so I don’t consider it a spoiler that you succeed. That’s like saying “you save the world” at the end of every other game, it’s not a spoiler.
But it seems you’re using Galvis as the main character in the sequel, if it was another character I could write it off as another dimension (although I suppose that’s possible here too) or alternate timeline. However it appears you’re probably using the same Galvis and it does bring up plenty of questions I hope get answered, unless it’s an alternate timeline, then that pretty much explains everything.

You raise some good points, but in regards to the sequel all we can do right now is point out that although the world was destroyed, Galvis was not…
